Hello Wise Chat fans,
As you could read here we were busy creating new, important, long-awaited feature ‘group chats’ (channels) . We’re happy to announce that we are ready. This function gives your chat visitors more independency and revives your community.
Here’s the main list of features provided for group chats
- With just a click on the icon, you are able to create your channel/ group chat.
- As a channel admin you decide yourself whether the channel is public or private.
- In the channel search box your visitors can find all group chats available: both public and private.
- A public channel allows your visitors to join and use it with no limitations. On the contrary to this, in order to join a private channel the user needs to send a request to the channel admin. The channel admin decides whether the request is accepted or declined.
- The channel admin can add and delete group members.
- When you create a public channel and you want your community to learn about it, you can notify them via email notification, visible also inside the chat’s notification area.
- As a Worpress admin you can decide which roles are allowed to create their own group chats. This gives you even more opportunities and allows you to keep control on the chat.
Hope our new development brings you and your chat users a lot of satisfaction
Please note that as a WordPress admin you can always turn this feature on and off – this is one of the most important advantages of Wise Chat itself – full freedom of choice among available features in our products.
