Here is the full list of Wise Chat Pro features. Each of them may be configured or disabled allowing to adjust the chat to your needs:

  • Easy installation: The plugin can be installed in three ways: using a shortcode, a Gutenberg block or a PHP function. Multiple chat instances can be embedded on the same page or post.
  • WordPress Multisite support: Wise Chat Pro runs properly in WordPress Multisite environment. You can create few websites on a single Wise Chat Pro instance.
  • Video calls: A convenient video calls support.
  • Voice messages: Empower your conversation with your own voice that can be recorded and posted in the text bubble.
  • Elementor and Gutenberg: Create chats via Elementor or Gutenberg.
  • BuddyPress groups integration: Integrate Wise Chat Pro into BuddyPress groups and provide a live communication tool for group members.
  • BuddyPress friends integration: Integrate Wise Chat Pro into BuddyPress friends and provide a live communication tool for friends.
  • Responsive Web Design (mobile-friendly interface): Interface is also designed for mobile devices such as tablets or smartphones.
  • 7 Themes: Choose one of 7 good-looking Wise Chat Pro themes to instantly adjust the style of the chat.
  • Hooks: Add your own code to the main points of the chat’s logic.
  • Emoticons: Use one of four ready-to-use sets or compose your own set to enrich the look and feel.
  • GIFs library: Add an option to paste animated GIFs from the free Tenor library.
  • E-mail Notifications: Notify the administrator or chatters when a new message is posted in the chat.
  • No paid server: There is no need to set up, maintain or pay for a chat server. All you need is a regular WordPress website on a regular hosting.
  • Unlimited channels: Let your users post messages in dedicated chat rooms (called channels). Run multiple channels either simultaneously on the same page or on separate pages.
  • Unlimited users: There is no limit to the number of users of the Wise Chat Pro. The only limit is your server’s capacity.
  • Private messages: Let your users talk to each other in private conversations. Each user can also ignore unwanted people.
  • Private messaging permissions: Restrict private messaging to certain user roles.
  • Pending messages (full moderation): Let your moderators filter all posted messages before they get published.
  • Edit posted messages: Users can correct their messages after they were posted.
  • Replying to messages: Users can reply to messages posted by others.
  • Private channels: Make individual chat channels private by protecting them with a password. Only users that know the password have access to the channel.
  • Channels management: Let admin remove all the messages from a single channel or delete the channel completely.
  • Anonymous users: Anonymous users are by default allowed to participate in the chat. Auto-generated name (configurable) is assigned to such user.
  • Anonymous users with custom name: Let your users choose their name when they visit the chat for the first time.
  • Registered WordPress users: Registered and logged-in users are properly recognized by the plugin. You can also set to allow for access by registered users only.
  • External authentication: Increase the range of potential users by allowing them to log in using their accounts on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter or Google.
  • Single sign-on: No separate credentials (login and password) are required. If user is logged-in to your website, then the chat automatically logs her / him in.
  • Users list: Show the list of online users and their national flag / country / city of origin in the sidebar of the chat.
  • Users counter: Tell the people how many users are currently online.
  • Hidden anonymous users: Hide anonymous users on the users list. Encourage these users to register and become regular chatters.
  • Logged in users only: Enable option to permit access for registered and logged-in users only.
  • Selective user roles access: Choose which WordPress user roles are allowed to use the chat. It is useful when you want to give chat access to specific roles only.
  • Read-only mode: Make the chat read-only for anonymous users. Encourage your users to register in order to post messages.
  • Read-only mode for user roles: Select which user roles have read-only access to the chat. Let only premium users use the chat and the rest will be just watchers.
  • Users limit: Set the limit to the amount of users allowed to participate in the chat.
  • User settings: Chat users have options to change their name, color of their texts or mute sounds generated by the chat.
  • Flood control: Detect spammers and block them from posting too many messages in the chat. User that exceeds the threshold is automatically banned from the chat.
  • Links and images posting: Allow to post clickable links and images. Posted images are downloaded into Media Library. No need to point to external images.
  • Pictures from camera: On mobile devices users can take a picture directly and send it with a message.
  • YouTube movies: Display links to YouTube movies as a video player. You can adjust width and height of such players.
  • Files attachments: Let your users attach files directly to the messages using the attachments uploader.
  • Video attachments: Convert an attached video file into a video player.
  • Multiline messages: Let your users post long messages in multiple lines. Keyboard shortcut Shift+Enter can be used to send such messages.
  • Notifications: Notify about new messages. It can be a sound or a counter in browser’s title bar.
  • Mentioning someone: To recall another user add @ to user’s name “@UserName” when inserting your message into input field
  • Auto cleanup: Auto remove messages older than defined amount of time.
  • Localization: Provide a translation for your language. All texts are easily translatable.
  • Appearance adjustments: Adjust visual appearance to match your website by editing colors, font sizing, showing / hiding interface elements, changing sort order of messages and positioning chat elements. All this can be done using settings page.
  • Auto-hide users list: Users list can be auto-hidden on narrow screens. It is useful for mobile devices.
  • Hide anonymous users: Hide anonymous users on the users list.
  • Avatars: Enhance appearance of the chat by displaying avatars of your users.
  • Bad words filter: Protect your chat by enabling swearing control using built-in dictionary. It supports English and Polish languages.
  • Filters: Create rules that detect and replace specific words / patterns in posted messages. It is great for cutting off links or filtering outgoing links and more.
  • Chat Opening Hours / Days: Define days and range of hours when the chat is open for users.
  • Bans: Administrator can ban (IP based ban) users who do not follow rules of the chat.
  • Automatic bans: An option that automatically blocks an user if he / she exceeds the defined number of bad words.
  • Moderation: Administrators (or other specified user roles) can delete single messages or ban users that violate chat rules.
  • Custom CSS: Custom CSS styles can be applied for each element of the chat.
  • Channels statistics: Observe various statistics of channels, including amount of posted messages or users online.
  • Detailed configuration page: All features can be configured on the settings page (see the screenshots). You can control messages posting, appearance, channels statistics, filters, bans and localization.
  • Twitter hash tags: Detects Twitter hash tags and converting them into links.
  • Backups: Make backup of all messages from a given channel by downloading them as a single CSV file.
